I want it to have Android 2.3 upwards and is the Rockchip2918 better than the Samsung 210.Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05521082389822189026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7170403881197394503.post-63779947886454398302011-10-06T16:18:48.067-07:002011-10-06T16:18:48.067-07:00Interestingly enough you may have had your wish gr...Interestingly enough you may have had your wish granted :). I just bought a sample tablet. An Ainol Novo 7 which has pretty much the equivalent of an RK2918 processor (on steroids mind you...) paired with none other than a Mali-400 GPU. Assuming it isn't just all marketing hype, this processor (which is apparently a "dual core" cortex A8? Didn't think that was possible but this is what they are saying...) suposably is outbenchmarking all other cortex-a8's and most other cortex-a9's on the market. It is also saying that it gets fantastic battery life. I will find out when I get my device in about a month and will report here!

Cheers!

RomanRomanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18159845583500804048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7170403881197394503.post-23405998941479356892011-09-26T01:07:24.050-07:002011-09-26T01:07:24.050-07:00thanks, i wanted that combination since I read rec...thanks, i wanted that combination since I read recently that mali 400 is the best gpu, and I also read of the battery problem with amlogicAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7170403881197394503.post-47378884998360947292011-09-25T15:33:16.902-07:002011-09-25T15:33:16.902-07:00Excuse me I meant to say processor and gpu are par...Excuse me I meant to say processor and gpu are part of the same package.Romanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18159845583500804048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7170403881197394503.post-64143890077763563822011-09-25T15:32:03.351-07:002011-09-25T15:32:03.351-07:00Unfortunately no. The Mali 400 is a great gpu but as far as China tabs go it is only featured with the amlogic chipset. The vivante gc800 CPU pairs with the rk2918 however is no slouch and should offer performance comparable to the sgx-540 that is paired with the Samsung s5pv210. I own two different rk2918 powered devices and I like them both.

Cheers!

Sent from my meiying phantom m11Romanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18159845583500804048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7170403881197394503.post-4474424136987602192011-09-24T08:41:49.650-07:002011-09-24T08:41:49.650-07:00Excellent article!
